Job summary

EyeSouth Partners LLC seeks an experienced Optician to interpret prescriptions, help patients choose frames and lenses, take precise measurements, and ensure eyewear fits correctly. The role combines clinical eyewear knowledge with retail service, requiring strong product knowledge and patient-centered selling skills.

The position supports delivering high-quality eye care across our optical practice with attention to safety, accuracy, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Dispensing Optician License is required.
• Minimum of 5 years' opticianry experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and assists with selecting frames based on prescription, fit, and style.
• Educates patients on lens materials, coatings, and technologies.
• Reads and interprets prescriptions from optometrists or ophthalmologists.
• Submits and tracks eyewear orders through in-house or external lab partners.
• Maintains accurate patient records and order documentation.
• Ensures eyewear fits correctly and performs minor repairs as needed.
