Job summary

Entegro is seeking a Senior Optical Network Migration Engineer to support discovery, planning and delivery of large-scale optical transport network migrations across a legacy Infinera DWDM environment. You will remotely access the customer’s legacy Infinera DNA NMS to extract inventory, analyse performance, and develop MoP documentation for live migrations during planned maintenance windows.

This hands-on role requires strong technical expertise in optical transport networks, Infinera platforms

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Infinera optical transport platforms and the Legacy Infinera DNA Network Management System (NMS).
• Ability to extract, interpret and analyse network configuration, inventory, service and traffic data.
• Experience producing migration strategies, MoP documentation and implementation plans.
• Strong understanding of optical transmission principles, fibre technologies and network performance analysis.
• Proven experience performing traffic profiling and analysing service utilisation to support migration planning.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently within live production environments and communicate effectively with customers, project managers and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Network Discovery & Analysis: extract network inventory, configurations and service information; perform traffic profiling and dependency mapping.
• Migration Planning: develop migration strategies and MoP documentation; sequence migration waves to minimise impact.
• Migration Delivery: execute remote migration activities; perform pre/post-migration validation and testing; rollback when required.
• Optical Network Engineering: analyse power, OSNR, CD/PMD; support amplifiers, ROADM architectures; review alarms.
• Migration Experience: live optical network migrations; remote implementation support; planned maintenance windows.
• Educational Requirements: ensure team has necessary training and certifications.
