Job summary

You will define how designs are measured, toleranced, and validated, then partner with Metrology, Optomechanical, and Quality Engineering to bring them into production-ready processes. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in optical design, simulation, and tolerance/sensitivity analysis.
• Experience supporting manufacturing/process engineering or NPI transitions.
• Proficiency in Zemax for optical design and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize optical components and systems.
• Define verification strategy to confirm optical designs meet performance requirements.
• Lead the transition of optical designs from prototype to production.
• Collaborate with Metrology and Optomechanical Engineering on validation and alignment strategies.
• Provide technical input to DFMEA/PFMEA and document analysis results.
