Job summary

SureFire is seeking a Senior Optical Manufacturing Engineer to bridge optical design and production in the Optical Systems department. You will own design, verification, tolerance analysis, and metrology definition while transitioning optical systems from prototype to scalable manufacturing.

You will partner with Metrology, Optomechanical, and Quality Engineering to bring designs into production-ready processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize design and manufacture for

Qualifications

• Optical design, simulation, and tolerance/sensitivity analysis experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing/NP I transitions.
• Proficiency with image-performance metrics (MTF, aberrations) and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize optical components and systems.
• Define verification strategy and measurement approaches for production.
• Lead transition from prototype to production and scale-up.
• Provide process input to DFMEA/PFMEA.
• Conduct tolerance/sensitivity analysis and define measurement specs.
