Job summary

Keysight Technologies in California is seeking an Optical Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to improve products, processes, and components for manufacturability and cost efficiency. You will work with production teams on NPI, tooling design, and qualification of processes while driving robust cost‑reduction and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Optical Sciences, or a closely related technical discipline.
• 4-7 years of experience working in technical manufacturing environment.
• Strong communicator who collaborates effectively across functions and supports technical discussions with data and analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and work independently to develop ideas and translate concepts.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with production teams to support manufacturing and NPI initiatives, installing new designs to production floor.
• Participate in tooling design and upgrades using Siemens NX 3D CAD simulation or modeling.
• Transfer NPI tooling and processes to build up production line capacity and train technicians.
• Lead CAPA investigations, develop corrective actions, and author technical reports for customers.
• Define and develop assembly processes and documentation; support production trouble shooting.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing procedures with technical writers.
• Lead production test station upgrades including hardware and software updates.
