Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Senior Production Technician to perform advanced technical work in the ophthalmic lens and frame production environment, with cross-training across Surfacing, Finishing, and Coating to support high-quality prescription eyewear. The role includes troubleshooting, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring safety and compliance.

You will operate and calibrate equipment, document maintenance, and participate in root-cause analysis to drive process improvements,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in optical lab/manufacturing/technical environment, including at least 2 years at Production Technician level.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment across multiple production areas.
• Completion of training in at least five qualified functions across levels (Senior, Production, Associate).
• Strong mechanical aptitude, depth perception, and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced technical processes, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and safety checks to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment/workflow issues; lead root-cause analysis; implement corrective actions.
• Document non-conforming product and ensure corrective actions are applied.
• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to Associates and Technicians.
• Support cross-training across Surfacing, Finishing, and Coating areas as needed.
• Maintain records of production, maintenance, and quality control activities.
• Promote a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
