Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Sr. Optical Engineer to develop and validate requirements for high-performance directed energy and electro-optical systems in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on architecture, analysis, and rigorous testing to ensure conformance with specifications while maintaining program schedules.

The position requires a BS in engineering and at least 5 years in EO/optical systems, including laser/E-O components, with hands-on experience in Zemax or CodeV. On-site work and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of related Electro-Optics experience including EO systems, specifications, tolerances, testing and integration.
• Experience in laser and electro-optical systems requirements development, integration, testing, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate requirements for complex EO and related systems.
• Create architectures to integrate components into higher-level platforms.
• Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation, and analyses to predict system performance.
• Define and conduct critical tests to validate design performance against requirements.
• Manage supplier/partner performance to meet requirements.
• Provide lifecycle support and guidance to resolve issues.
• Coordinate work statements, budgets, and schedules for projects.
