Boeing Defense, Space & Security (LEOS) seeks an Optical Engineer to support development of high performance Directed Energy Systems and Electro-Optical Systems in Albuquerque, NM. This contract role requires on-site work and U.S. citizenship with Top Secret/SCI clearance.

The position emphasizes requirements development, design of EO/laser systems, and advanced modeling/validation through lifecycle support and proposal generation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years minimum related experience.
• Education or work experience in Electro-Optics.
• Experience with EO hardware and fiber optics.
• Willing to relocate to Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validation of EO and electro-optical system requirements.
• Develop architectures to integrate multiple systems into higher level platforms.
• Perform trade studies, modeling and simulation to optimize design around requirements.
• Design complex electro-optical and laser systems.
• Develop and implement critical tests to validate performance.
• Support product lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use.
