Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly capable engineer to join its Raytheon Electro-Optics (EO) department in the Tucson area. The role involves supporting program activities as a mentee and individual contributor, performing optical alignment and testing, and applying EO modeling and analysis to ensure subsystems meet stringent requirements.

Responsibilities include requirements development, subsystem trade studies, and the design of optical/opto-mechanical seeker systems for missiles.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Optical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related STEM
• Experience with Electro-Optical subsystems
• ABET is preferred but not required; 3.0 GPA desired

Responsibilities

• Participate as mentee and Individual Contributor supporting program activities.
• Optical alignment/testing of optics assemblies.
• EO modeling, simulation, and analysis applications.
• Requirements development, requirement validation, and subsystem trade studies.
• Design of optical and opto-mechanical seeker systems and/or test fixtures for missiles.
• Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis with production personnel.
• Support production in assembly and documentation of EO subsystems.
• Troubleshooting hardware down to component levels
• Root cause determination and corrective action implementation
