Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mission Engineering professional in North Texas to join a transformative team shaping programs, pursuits, investments, and strategy. You will integrate threat expertise, mission decomposition, architectures, and modeling & simulation to support warfighter missions and system-of-systems analysis.

You will collaborate across internal and external stakeholders, influencing program decisions, and delivering data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, Shell and/or Perl.
• Experience with Government/Industry Modeling and Simulation tools including AFSIM, OneSAF, Brawler, STK or similar.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with software development, object-oriented design, C/C++ and/or Java in either Unix or Linux operating environments.
• Experience with DoD, IC, Mission Areas, or systems such as radar, electro optical, and infrared sensing systems.
• Experience providing briefs and presentations to internal or external stakeholders/customers.
• Active Top Secret clearance
• Experience with Military Operations Analysis, Modeling & Simulation and/or data analysis & visualization.

Responsibilities

• Contribute and collaborate in a team environment, receiving input from the program, customers, or team experts.
• Develop and implement analytic approaches that generate data to inform programmatic decisions.
• Develop and integrate variable-fidelity models and simulations that capture system effects.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and business alignment.
• Evaluate end-to-end system needs and data connectivity for kill-chain interfaces.
• Model system and mission kill chains with government, commercial, and RTX simulations.
• Develop metrics and results products that communicate chain-of-events.
• Implement algorithms to provide next-generation performance across the system of systems.
