Job summary

MISO in the United States seeks a experienced Senior Operator Readiness Advisor to lead desk-specific onboarding, OJT, and qualification programs, working with trainees, SMEs, and Operations leaders to design and deliver training.

You will monitor progress, identify readiness gaps, and continuously improve learning experiences to prepare operators for real-world operating conditions, with base salary range and bonus eligibility as described.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of reliability coordination, generation & interchange, or related control room operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Familiarity with NERC, FERC, or similar compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead desk-specific onboarding, OJT, and qualification programs
• Develop and facilitate cohort-based training and readiness activities
• Track trainee progress and address learning gaps
• Partner with Operations leadership and SMEs to improve training effectiveness
• Incorporate operational lessons learned into continuous learning training content and simulations
• Help operators progress from onboarding to desk qualification
• Reduce readiness gaps and improve trainee ramp-up time
• Build trusted relationships across Operations, SMEs, and trainees
