Job summary

MISO manages the electricity grid in the Central U.S. The Operator Readiness Advisor will lead desk-specific onboarding, OJT, and qualification programs, working with trainees, SMEs, and Operations leaders to ensure operators are prepared for real-world operating conditions.

You will develop and facilitate training, monitor progress, identify readiness gaps, and continuously improve learning experiences. The role offers a base salary of $148,000–$173,000 and eligibility for an annual bonus, plus

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in reliability coordination, generation & interchange, balancing & dispatch, or related control room operations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Familiarity with NERC, FERC, or similar compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead desk-specific onboarding, OJT, and qualification programs.
• Develop and facilitate cohort-based training and readiness activities.
• Track trainee progress and address learning gaps.
• Partner with Operations leadership and SMEs to improve training effectiveness.
• Incorporate operational lessons learned into continuous learning content and simulations.
