Job summary

Banc of California is hiring a Senior Operations Specialist, Exceptions Processing to assist branches with customer issues and ensure daily transactions are processed accurately. The role entails reviewing reports, preparing correspondence, and supporting internal controls in line with industry practices and regulations.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in central/branch operations, strong regulatory knowledge, and experience with ECCHO/NACHA rules.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in central operations, deposit operations, or branch operations.
• Business or financial industry education through training or schooling.
• 3–5 years of credit card experience if assigned to support credit cards.
• Prior banking or credit card experience required.
• Knowledge of ECCHO and NACHA rules and related regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with Fiserv, Premier Navigator, and WireXchange.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Process ACH, large on-us deposits, stop payments, ATM and mobile deposits, and wire transfers.
• Approve or verify transactions within signing authority when required.
• Cross-train and support other teams’ functions.
• Assist Branch Banking, Business Banking, Private Banking, Call Center and Loan Servicing teams with service issues.
• Meet and adhere to audit standards.
• Respond to inquiries and emails to support internal/external clients.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
