Job summary

Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) seeks a Senior Operations Officer in a hybrid role, with on-site needs at Bethesda, MD. You will lead complex operational projects, drive process improvements, and coordinate facilities, IT, security, and vendor relationships to support organizational priorities.

You will report to the VP, Operations and collaborate across teams to ensure programs run smoothly, risks are managed, and initiatives align with strategic goals.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree required.
• 9+ years of operations, administration, project management or related field.
• 3+ years leading facilities/workplace operations or logistics projects.
• Experience with organizational systems implementations or upgrades.
• PMP, Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus.
• Hybrid work environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational projects from planning through execution with cross-functional teams.
• Develop project plans, timelines and deliverables aligned to priorities.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot challenges and adjust plans for success.
• Mediates IT, security, facilities and personnel matters, escalating when needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce administrative burden.
• Coordinate facilities initiatives including space planning and vendor relations.
• Support IT coordination and organization-wide system initiatives.
