Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an experienced Operations Program Manager who will serve as the primary liaison between the program manager and Operations, including Production Planning, Supply Chain, and factories. You will drive program execution, risk management, and stakeholder communications across technical teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing Management, or Engineering related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum 8-12 years of experience in Operations / project management.
• Proven track record of running multiple, successful projects.
• Demonstrated collaborative problem-solving skill set.
• Experience in a highly technical environment.
• Deep knowledge of project management methods, tools, and processes.
• Must be able to interface effectively with internal teams as well as government and commercial customers.
• Basic familiarity with export licenses for the export of military products to foreign countries.

Responsibilities

• Management of the Operations portion of the program throughout the program's life cycle.
• Work with Sustaining Engineering and the Program Manager to ensure alignment and understanding of requirements.
• Develop, implement, and manage controls and success criteria to provide and status a performance measurement baseline.
• Identify, analyze, and report on Operations Risks & Opportunities.
• Coordinate and align project teams and their inter-dependencies.
• Establish, communicates, and report factory priorities with Planning and Factory Managers.
• Aligns and informs stakeholders of program status hardware status.
• Participate in Corrective Action.
• Lead program meetings and program reviews with operations and management.
• Work with Supply Chain to flow down technical and schedule requirements to suppliers.
• Understand and maintain product requirements.
• Manage potential changes in program scope and advise leadership and customer of potential impact.
• Assist and/or coordinate cost proposals; ensure adherence to company policies.
