Job summary

Kimmel Associates is assisting in finding an Operations Manager for a premier commercial concrete contractor in Central Virginia. The role will oversee day-to-day operations, guiding Project Managers and Field Superintendents to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate brings 8–10+ years of leadership in commercial construction and hands-on experience with Procore and estimating tools, plus a proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 8–10+ years of commercial construction experience in an Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager, or equivalent leadership role.
• 6+ years of recent commercial concrete construction experience, including projects valued at $2M+.
• Strong knowledge of commercial building construction means, methods, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction operations and manage project resources and personnel.
• Lead Project Managers and Field Superintendents to ensure project success.
• Ensure projects are safe, on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
