Kimmel Associates seeks an experienced General Superintendent in Charlottesville, VA to lead commercial concrete field operations, manpower planning, and subcontractor performance across active projects. You’ll report to the President and drive schedules, QA/QC, and safety while collaborating with PMs, field crews, and clients.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably with concrete exposure.
• Experience in a General Superintendent or equivalent field leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of materials, methods, sequencing, and costs in commercial building.
• Ability to manage field operations across multiple projects.
• Experience coordinating manpower, subcontractors, schedules, production, and quality control.
• Proficient in reading drawings, blueprints, specs, and installation details.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with field teams and clients.

• Oversee field labor and operations across multiple concrete projects.
• Develop weekly manpower requirements and coordinate personnel and subs.
• Evaluate performance and address productivity or quality issues.
• Monitor schedules, production, labor costs, and financial health of projects.
• Lead weekly production reviews with PMs and Superintendents.
• Coordinate with PMs to identify and fix issues.
• Ensure QA/QC across all phases and enforce safety standards.
• Establish quality control standards for company and subs.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and feedback to field staff.
• Plan short- and long-term manpower and operations.
• Foster a proactive safety culture and compliance.
• Build relationships with clients, subs, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Represent the company professionally in field and community.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and project performance.
• Support mission, vision, and values in decisions.
