Job summary

US Farathane in Riverside, MO seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations in an automotive plastic injection molding facility, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

You will drive Lean initiatives, coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Materials, ensure IATF 16949 compliance, and guide capital projects to improve uptime and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in automotive plastic injection molding.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling materials, and automation.
• Experience working with IATF 16949 certified facilities.
• Proven leadership of high-volume, multi-shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains manufacturing operations plans including program requirements, labor hours, cycle times, production costs, and output.
• Leads cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Materials and HR.
• Establishes production and quality standards, budgets, and cost controls; tracks delivery dates.
• Drives lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 6S and OEE improvement initiatives.
• Supports plant objectives and ensures adherence to IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
• Collaborates on capital planning for tooling, presses, automation, and equipment.
