Job summary

US Farathane seeks an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure plastic injection molded components meet customer, internal, and regulatory requirements. You will support production, engineering, and suppliers by applying automotive quality tools and driving corrective actions.

You will directly engage with OEMs and Tier 1 customers, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, customer specifications, and internal quality standards while facilitating audits, PPAP, and root-cause investigations across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent 5 years of experience).
• Minimum 2‑5 years of Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Experience with SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, and PPAP.
• Strong working knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
• Proficiency with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality system for projects assigned.
• Lead and/or participate in implementation and discipline of SPC.
• Maintain and support compliance with IATF 16949, customer‑specific requirements, and internal procedures.
• Participate in internal, customer, and third‑party audits, support corrective action responses.
• Ensure adherence to Control Plans, PFMEA, and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Support daily manufacturing operations for plastic injection molding processes.
• Analyze nonconforming material and implement containment actions.
• Monitor SPC data and identify trends affecting product quality.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Maintenance on process improvements.
• Lead and support APQP activities for new and existing programs.
• Prepare and submit PPAP documentation to customers.
