Consulate General of Canada Seattle seeks a Senior Operations Liaison Assistant to support CBSA program activities and related administrative duties. The role involves budgeting tasks, liaison with local and international partners, and preparing reports on cross-border activities.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years in client service or admin support, a relevant degree, and strong English proficiency; French is a plus. On-site work with limited teleworking is expected.
The mission is seeking to fill a Senior Operations Liaison Assistant position for the Canada Border Services Agency program as well as various administrative positions that may arise following this selection process. The Operational Liaison Assistant (OLA) will support efforts to support Canada’s national security and public safety priorities and facilitate the free flow of persons and goods with or linked to the Liaison Officer’s (LO) area of responsibility (AOR); participate in reporting on cross border criminal activities and trends involving people and goods; liaise with local partners, immigration and customs contacts on a wide range of CBSA mandate issues; assist the LO, in expanding border management cooperation with officials in the United States of America; professionally represent the LO and as required, the International Network Manager and Regional Director (RD), and CBSA in communication and networking with representatives of host countries and other organizations including translation; and, occasionally or during LO absences, perform some basic activities normally carried out by the LO while exercising initiative and discretion.
