Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services, Inc. in Belvidere, IL seeks a plant Operations Leader to direct and optimize manufacturing activities.

You will coordinate across functions to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals while driving lean improvements and cost reductions on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery. The role emphasizes data-driven management, preventative maintenance, and collaboration with Customer Service and other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• 3–5 years in Continuous Improvement including Six Sigma certification.
• 3–5 years in Quality.
• Strong Project Management skills.
• Teamwork mindset for collaborative work.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Aerospace experience preferred if no Quality background.
• Commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates operations in one or more plant areas.
• Leads cross-functional teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals.
• Monitors training and processes to ensure conforming products for customers.
• Oversees data reporting for day-to-day operations and repeatability.
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives (lean, cost reductions).
• Ensures production planning and preventative maintenance are robust.
