Job summary

thyssenkrupp in Belvidere, IL seeks an experienced Operations Leader to direct plant-level operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production that meets customer requirements.

You will lead cross-functional teams on the warehouse floor, drive lean initiatives, manage maintenance programs, and coordinate data reporting to sustain repeatable, reliable output while supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in supervisory or management roles.
• 3–5 years in Continuous Improvement including Six Sigma certification.
• 3–5 years in Quality management.
• Safety-minded with warehouse-floor experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Ensure processes produce conforming products meeting customer requirements.
• Oversee data reporting to keep day-to-day operations repeatable and compliant with safety, quality, and operational objectives.
• Support lean initiatives, cost reductions, and continuous improvement projects.
• Plan daily production and ensure maintenance programs are robust.
• Communicate effectively with Customer Service and other departments.
