Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Manager, Risk Management in Operational Risk Challenge & Advisory (ORCA). You will provide 2nd line challenge and expert risk guidance to first-line teams across risk assessment processes, with emphasis on documentation and remediation planning.

The role requires strong communication with executives, collaboration across risk functions, and proficiency in risk standards and data analysis. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in risk-related fields are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or military experience) required.
• 6+ years of experience in Risk Management, Audit, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
• Professional certifications (CPA/CIA/PMP) are a plus; advanced data analysis skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line challenge and advice to 1st line on risk assessment processes (RCSA, PLA, PRA, Launch initiatives).
• Document and communicate results; perform data analysis to identify risks and remediation needs.
• Serve as SME to BRO and IRM in operational risk assessments; collaborate across Risk, Internal Audit, and business risk offices.
