Job summary

Empower is seeking an Operational Risk Management Senior Manager to execute key components of our risk framework and provide independent oversight. The role partners with business areas to identify risks, evaluate controls, and drive remediation with credible challenge.

The candidate will lead risk assessments, analyze complex processes, and monitor corrective actions while supporting risk reporting to senior management. A senior professional with strong collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in Enterprise Risk Management or Operational Risk Management.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently analyze complex processes, risks and controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational risk guidance and credible independent challenge to the First Line on risk matters.
• Lead risk assessments and analyze processes to identify risks and control gaps.
• Identify emerging issues through indicators and horizon scans and advise actions.
• Drive remediation with root cause analysis and control enhancements.
• Collaborate with business to develop corrective action plans and monitor actions.
• Review initiatives to ensure risk controls are considered.
• Support preparation and communication of risk reporting to Senior Management and risk committees.
