Job summary
Fluence seeks a Senior Systems Engineering Manager, Operability in Houston to lead the global Hypercare team. You will drive post-deployment stabilization, fleet operability, and rapid issue resolution across Fluence's Battery Energy Storage System portfolio.
You will guide cross-functional teams in Product Engineering, Software, Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer Success to ensure operational readiness and continuous product improvement, with executive-level reporting and a strong focus on
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline plus 10+ years in complex systems.
- 5+ years leading engineering teams and programs.
- Strong systems/reliability/product engineering background.
- Experience managing customer escalations and high-severity issues.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Lead Hypercare operating model and governance.
- Own stabilization from deployment through handoff.
- Prioritize resources across multiple global projects.
- Drive timely issue resolution and closure across functions.
- Mentor Hypercare and Operability Engineers.
- Establish KPIs, dashboards, and operating rhythms.
