Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a senior infrastructure engineer to design and operate OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms for hybrid environments. You will own OS-level tuning, networking, storage integration, and reliability practices across VM and container workloads.

The role emphasizes day-2 operations, security hardening in collaboration with compliance teams, and IaC automation using Ansible/Terraform with GitOps patterns. Strong AI governance is required.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on OpenShift and Kubernetes administration in production environments.
• Experience with day-2 operations, upgrades, and platform lifecycle management.
• Experience with OpenShift Virtualization/KubeVirt and VM co-tenancy.
• Strong Linux administration, troubleshooting, and kernel/sysctl tuning.
• Experience implementing IaC with Ansible/Terraform and GitOps patterns.
• Ability to validate AI-assisted outputs for resiliency and security.
• Experience collaborating with security/compliance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design OpenShift cluster architectures (on-premises or hybrid) to meet availability and security needs.
• Build and operate OpenShift clusters end-to-end including install, upgrades, and patching.
• Engineer platforms for Kubernetes and VM workloads with capacity planning and HA/DR.
• Own Linux platform fundamentals for reliable cluster operations.
• Implement and troubleshoot networking, DNS, load balancing, and segmentation.
• Integrate storage services for container and VM workloads including CSI drivers.
• Drive reliability with observability, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
• Develop runbooks, standards, and reference architectures; lead readiness reviews.
• Leverage enterprise AI capabilities while validating outputs and handling sensitive data.
• Promote AI-assisted practices with governance, traceability, and auditable changes.
