Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer to design, operate, and harden an on-prem OpenShift-based platform hosting containers and VM workloads. You will own cluster foundations, compute, networking, storage, and security controls to enable safe, consistent workloads.

The role emphasizes platform lifecycle, reliability, and collaboration with hardware, security, and platform consumer teams. Strong experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and automation is required.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts.
• 5+ years applied experience in infra engineering.
• Hands-on OpenShift and Kubernetes administration in production.

Responsibilities

• Design OpenShift cluster architectures (on-premises/hybrid).
• Build and operate clusters end-to-end, including VM capabilities and hardware acceleration concepts where applicable.
• Support both Kubernetes and VM workloads, including capacity planning and HA/DR considerations.
• Own Linux platform fundamentals for reliable cluster operations.
• Implement and troubleshoot core networking capabilities; storage integration for containers and VMs.
• Develop runbooks, standards, and reference architectures; lead readiness reviews.
