Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking an experienced OpenShift Platform Administrator to manage container platforms and cloud infrastructure in a remote, US-wide role. You will lead OpenShift and Kubernetes operations, automate deployments with Terraform, Ansible, and Helm, and collaborate with security teams to enforce RBAC and compliance across production systems.

The role requires strong Linux administration, IaC experience, and a track record of reliable incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 4+ years of cloud engineering or infrastructure administration experience.
• 3+ years OpenShift and Kubernetes administration experience.
• Experience with enterprise production container platforms.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support OpenShift clusters across markets.
• Manage cluster upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
• Monitor health, performance, and resource utilization.
• Automate tasks using IaC tools and CI/CD integrations.
• Implement RBAC, security controls, and vulnerability remediation.
