Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Container Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and operate enterprise OpenShift platforms across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will own the end‑to‑end platform lifecycle from provisioning to ongoing operations.

The ideal candidate has deep OpenShift and Kubernetes expertise, strong Linux fundamentals, and a security‑first mindset, partnering with application teams and security engineers to deliver a stable, secure, and developer‑friendly

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
5+ years operating container platforms in production, with at least 3 years on OpenShift.
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift internals, including RBAC and networking.
Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Helm).
Experience building CI/CD pipelines on OpenShift or Kubernetes (Tekton, Jenkins, Argo CD).
Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go.
Experience with monitoring, logging, tracing tools.
Security-focused platform hardening and image scanning.

Responsibilities

Architect, provisioning, and operating OpenShift clusters across on‑premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.
Design multi-tenant OpenShift platforms with project isolation, network policies, quotas, RBAC, and security context constraints.
Automate cluster lifecycle operations—installation, upgrades, scaling, and decommissioning—using OpenShift installer, GitOps tooling, and IaC frameworks.
Onboard application development teams to the platform with self‑service patterns, templates, CI/CD integrations, and documentation.
Operate OpenShift networking, including SDN/OVN‑Kubernetes, ingress, routes, and firewall integration.
Manage OpenShift storage strategies including OpenShift Data Foundation and external storage.
Implement monitoring and logging with Prometheus, Grafana, EFK, and SIEM integration.
Harden the platform with image scanning, runtime protection, and compliance controls.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines on OpenShift using Tekton, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Argo Workflows.
Plan disaster recovery and backup strategies and validate via failover drills.
Collaborate with teams to right‑size workloads and optimize autoscaling.
Mentor engineers and share OpenShift expertise across the organization.
