Strong Deswik proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
• 10+ years of mining experience, including substantial hands-on experience in hard-rock open pit mining operations.
• Expert proficiency in Deswik for mine design, mine planning, and production scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and uphold standards in the field, incorporating risks and geotechnical requirements into designs, schedules, and execution practices.
• Develop and maintain shift, daily, weekly, monthly, and rolling medium-term plans aligned with longer-term objectives and resources.
• Translate designs and schedules into clear work instructions, priorities, and field deliverables with operations teams.
• Design and update pit, bench, ramp, haul-road, stockpile, and waste-dump layouts to meet safety requirements and support equipment movement.
• Coordinate ore extraction, waste stripping, stockpiling, and material routing with geology and processing teams.
• Improve blast designs and sequencing for safe blasting, fragmentation, and efficient loading/hauling.
• Evaluate equipment capabilities and optimize haul cycles, availability, and utilization with maintenance.
• Monitor execution, investigate variances, and develop recovery plans feeding back into planning.
• Evaluate alternative designs to improve productivity and reduce costs; support digital planning and automation.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, geology, survey, geotechnical, processing, and software teams.
