Job summary

Andean Precious Metals Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mine Planning Engineer with a strong technical background to lead the development, optimization, and execution of long-, medium-, and short-range mine plans for safe and sustainable production.

The role requires a minimum of seven years of planning experience in large open-pit operations or complex poly-metallic environments, and reports to the Technical Services Manager.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Able to work effectively across departments and organizational levels.
• Strong communication skills including preparation of technical reports and presentations to management and peers across the value stream.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ore and waste delivery to achieve production targets and mine plan objectives.
• Prepare daily mine plan compliance report to management.
• Produce periodic reconciliation calculations comparing the reserves block model, ore control model, production models and mining actuals to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure pit walls and dumps comply with design and regulation permits ensuring safe and profitable operations.
• Verify the tons and grade extracted from the mine according to the royalty holders agreements.
• Identify and implement initiatives that improve mine planning, productivity, and equipment utilization and overall cost efficiency.
