Job summary

Linbeck is seeking a Mid-Level Superintendent I in Abilene, TX to plan and manage construction sites, ensuring safety, quality, and contractual obligations on projects from $5m to $100m+. You will supervise subcontractors and Linbeck personnel daily, coordinating scheduling, safety, QA/QC and Lean processes.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a Bachelor's in construction or related field, 8+ years of commercial construction, and 6+ years as a lead supervisor on ground-up projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field preferred.
• 8+ years of commercial construction experience required.
• 6+ years as a lead superintendent on ground-up projects.
• Experience with safety programs and Lean construction methods.
• Familiarity with CM@R, Design-Build or IPD contracting.

Responsibilities

• Develop a Safety Culture with subcontractors via the BBS program.
• Manage site safety hazards and conduct safety walks daily.
• Review JHAs for completeness for all trades on site.
• Oversee field labor hiring/termination in coordination with admin.
• Develop master baseline schedule and update milestones with the team.
• Create site utilization, logistics and phasing plans during preconstruction.
• Use Lean Board tools to manage constraints and drive productivity.
• Lead daily huddles and weekly work plan with accountability.
• Prepare PPCs and recovery plans; generate daily project reports.
