Lead Construction Superintendent – Ground-Up Projects

Job summary

Linbeck Group is seeking an experienced Superintendent I to plan and manage construction sites, ensuring safety, quality, and contractual compliance. The role supports large-scale projects ($5–$50M or more) and may involve lead supervision across scopes with healthcare, education, and cultural venues.

You will drive preconstruction planning, use BIM and Lean methods, and coordinate with subcontractors and the project team to achieve milestones and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business is preferred.
• 8+ years of commercial construction experience are required.
• 6+ years of field supervision as a lead superintendent for a ground-up GC are required.
• Experience with healthcare, K-12, higher education, or cultural venues is a plus.
• CM@R, Design-Build, or IPD contract experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated success implementing and managing project safety programs is required.
• Proficiency with Lean Construction tools and scheduling software is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a Safety Culture with subcontractors and lead the Lean-based safety program.
• Analyze safety hazards through daily safety walks with the Job Team.
• Review JHAs for completeness and accuracy daily for all trades.
• Manage field labor, including hiring and termination coordination.
• Develop the Master Baseline Schedule and maintain milestone progress with the team.
• Create and update site utilization, logistics, and phasing plans for GMP creation.
• Utilize Lean Board tools to visualize constraints and coordinate activities.
