Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Control Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain automation and control systems supporting electric utility and grid modernization initiatives in Baltimore, MD. You will work with SCADA, EMS, ADMS, DERMS, PLCs, RTUs, HMI, and related technologies on mission-critical power programs.

The role requires 5+ years in utilities or real-time grid environments and hands-on experience with PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and multiple industrial protocols.

Qualificações

• 5+ years in electric utilities or real-time grid management environments.
• Experience with SCADA, EMS, ADMS, DERMS and utility control systems.
• Proficient in PLCs, RTUs, HMIs and communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, SEL Fast Messaging).
• Experience with control system startups, testing, commissioning, and field support.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain automation and control systems including SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, and HMI applications.
• Lead programming, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of SCADA applications.
• Perform factory and field testing, startup, deployment, and system upgrades.
• Support project execution with estimates, proposals, change orders, and client site assessments.
• Provide technical leadership and QA/QC reviews with customers and project teams.
