Amgen is seeking a Senior Oncology Specialist to serve as the primary clinical liaison to medical professionals in assigned territories across Illinois. You will communicate clinical and economic benefits of Amgen medicines and develop territory plans to achieve sales targets.

The role emphasizes building internal and external relationships, resolving reimbursement issues, and delivering scientific and educational programs to support patient access and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of sales or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field
• OR Associate degree with 6 years of sales or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field
• OR High school diploma with 8 years of sales or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field

Responsibilities

• Create and execute on a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following-up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets
• Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts
• Craft an effective marketing strategy to aid in driving sales
• Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with your District Manager
• Maintain passion for our products through the entire sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients
• Share best practices with colleagues and pursue continuous learning to grow as a Sr. Oncology Specialist
• Leverage oncology disease-state awareness to deliver agreed results
