Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Oncology Specialist to serve as the primary liaison to medical professionals, delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen's oncology products and communicating their clinical and economic benefits. The role involves building relationships, executing territory plans, and achieving sales targets across Austin and surrounding Texas markets.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of sales or clinical healthcare experience, with oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences or Business Administration with related healthcare experience.
• Multiple paths accepted: 3+ years oncology sales or 6+ years healthcare clinical sales with Associate degree, or 8+ years with high school diploma.
• Experience in pharma/biotech sales and knowledge of reimbursement processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan with branded messages and programs.
• Utilize relationships to service accounts, ensure access, and resolve reimbursement issues.
• Craft marketing strategies to drive sales and growth.
• Analyze territory performance and develop district plans with leadership.
• Maintain passion for products and patient-focused approach throughout the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and learn continuously.
• Leverage oncology disease state knowledge amid regulatory and competitive changes.
