US Oncology Inc. is seeking a Senior Medical Coding Educator for our Texas Oncology location in Richardson, TX. The role focuses on complex coding investigations, audits, and education within Revenue Cycle.

Expect collaboration with Coding Ops, Compliance, IT, and clinical leadership to drive accurate reimbursement and compliance. The position requires seven years of professional coding/audit experience, CPT/ICD-10-CM knowledge, and active coding credentials, with a strong emphasis on education

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year degree preferred.
• Seven years of relevant experience in professional fee coding, coding audit, or related revenue cycle functions.
• Three years of professional fee coding audit or complex coding review experience.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and tracking issues through resolution.
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and payer guidance.
• Active professional coding credential (CPC/CCS-P/COC, etc.) and auditing credential.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex reviews and investigations involving coding, documentation, billing, and workflows.
• Evaluate concerns to determine root cause, scope, impact, and resolution.
• Conduct audits, data validation, and claim reviews; prepare findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Coding Operations, Audit Operations, Education, Revenue Cycle, IT, Compliance, and leadership.
• Document findings, actions, and closure status with supporting evidence.
• Maintain knowledge of coding guidance, payer policies, and regulatory updates.
• Present findings to providers and leadership with clear, actionable recommendations.
