Inova Health Center 8081 - Fairfax East is seeking a Patient Access Specialist Sr - Oncology to join our team. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, located in Fairfax, VA.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: 2 years of patient access experience.
• Preferred: strong communication, dependability and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Patient intake, registration and documentation; audits records for accuracy.
• Administrative & technology operations: compile reports and troubleshoot system issues.
• Case management tasks: audit referrals and support escalations.
• Financial counseling: conduct financial reviews for patients.
• Insurance & contract coordination: educate staff on contract nuances.
• Inquiries & patient concerns: handle escalations and analyze trends.
• Scheduling: schedule surgeries and verify readiness.
• HIPAA, OSHA and regulatory compliance maintenance.
