Job summary

Inova Health System in Falls Church, VA, is hiring a Patient Access Specialist - Radiation Oncology. This full-time, hybrid role supports new patient intake, coordinates access with the cancer care team, and manages scheduling across services within Epic.

Strong customer service and detail orientation are essential for success. The position requires 3 years of relevant experience, an Associate's degree (or equivalent experience), and certification within 1 year (CHAA/CHAM).

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or relevant experience equivalent to 2 years.
• 3 years of relevant experience in a customer service or office setting.
• Certification: CHAA or CHAM within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Enter new patient information into the Epic questionnaire, including intake date and demographics.
• Serve as first point of contact for Oncology patients to create a seamless access and coordination model.
• Schedule new patient visits with the interdisciplinary care team using EMR or scheduling systems.
• Obtain accurate information from multiple facilities prior to the appointment date (history, insurance, records).
• Coordinate and schedule diagnostic tests, procedures and physician visits.
