Job summary

Bicara Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to be the field-based medical and scientific expert for our company, focusing on engaging with healthcare providers to educate on investigational products and disease areas.

The role covers a west territory including CA and WA and involves collaboration with clinical sites, cross-functional teams, and investigators to advance research and education within oncology.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in Pharmaceutical Industry Medical Affairs as MSL/Sr. MSL.
• Advanced degree (MD, PhD or PharmD) preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 65% of the time.
• Knowledge of treatment guidelines (NCCN, ASCO, ESMO) and FDA regulations.
• Experience with head and neck/solid tumors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and maintains collaborative relationships with investigators, institutions and groups.
• Provides education to the medical community on investigational products and disease areas of focus.
• Increases visibility and interaction with oncology leaders.
• Participates in medical education for healthcare professionals, including formulary committees.
• Coordinates with clinical sites to ensure education and training are provided.
• Identifies clinical research opportunities aligned with company objectives.
• Manages investigator-initiated research program from concept to publication.
• Communicates clinical and research insights to shape company research.
• Maintains clinical and scientific expertise through conferences and publications.
• Mentors MSL team members and contributes to cross-functional Medical Affairs.
• Executes administrative regional field activities and contributes to Medical Strategy.
