Job summary

AbbVie seeks an MSL/Senior MSL in Oncology (Multiple Myeloma) for the Mid-Atlantic region. This field-based role will build relationships with thought leaders and educate healthcare professionals while supporting AbbVie medical objectives across the product lifecycle.

Travel up to 75% within Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and Kentucky. Requires advanced degree and 3+ years of experience; strong communication and presentation skills; HCIR credentialing may apply.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD or APP).
• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience for a Senior MSL.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% within the territory.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders, centers, and researchers to access current medical information.
• Present scientific information and education about disease state, therapeutic landscape, and AbbVie products to healthcare professionals.
• Support research initiatives, site evaluation, recruitment, investigator meetings, and external collaborations as requested.
• Prepare marketplace awareness in new therapeutic areas and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet objectives.
• Serve as a medical resource to healthcare providers, answering unsolicited medical questions and addressing clinical information issues.
• Provide ongoing training to medical affairs, field sales and internal personnel as directed.
• Ensure compliant documentation and manage annual expenses within budget parameters.
