Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior MSL in Oncology (Multiple Myeloma) for the South Atlantic region. This field-based role engages physicians, researchers, and academic centers to share AbbVie's scientific data and support strategic medical objectives.

The Senior MSL will build robust scientific relationships, support clinical initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive medical education and research activities across assigned geographies.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in health sciences; Doctorate strongly preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience for a Senior MSL.
• Typically requires a minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience for an MSL.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and translate territory and corporate needs to support internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain relationships with thought leaders, academic centers, and researchers to ensure access to current information.
• Present scientific information to healthcare professionals across the product lifecycle.
• Support research initiatives and physician-initiated projects including site evaluation and investigator meetings.
• Create awareness and develop AbbVie presence in new therapeutic areas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute account plans supporting shared objectives.
• Serve as a medical/scientific resource to healthcare providers and respond to unsolicited questions.
• Provide ongoing training to medical affairs, field sales, and internal personnel.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and maintain annual expenses within budget.
