Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. seeks an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to integrate scientific expertise with medical strategies for our oncology portfolio. The role emphasizes building long-term peer relationships with regional clinicians and thought leaders across WI, MN, IA, MO, NE, and KS.

The position requires strong scientific background in Oncology, project leadership, and the ability to translate customer needs into actionable insights. Extensive travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of MSL experience in Oncology.
• 5+ years of overall related experience.
• MSL experience or relationships with HCPs within the geography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage national, regional, and local Oncology thought leaders and HCPs.
• Serve as the primary scientific contact and build long-term peer to peer scientific relationships.
• Exchange scientific and technical information relevant to the company’s development portfolio.
• Educate priority HCPs on research and development initiatives.
• Gather medical insights to inform clinical and marketing strategies.
• Represent the company at Oncology conferences and scientific meetings.
• Lead relevant projects within the field medical organization.
