Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to integrate scientific expertise with medical strategies across a marketed and emerging portfolio. The role focuses on building long-term relationships with regional clinicians of influence and key opinion leaders in Oncology.

This position covers WI, MN, IA, MO, NE, and KS, with >50% travel. Final title and compensation depend on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant scientific or clinical experience in Oncology.
5+ years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry; 3+ years MSL experience in Oncology.
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify and engage national, regional, and local Oncology thought leaders and HCPs.
Serve as the primary scientific contact and build long-term peer-to-peer scientific relationships.
Exchange scientific and technical information relevant to the company's development portfolio.
Support relationships between key opinion leaders and internal product teams.
Educate priority HCPs on research and development initiatives.
Gather medical insights to inform clinical and marketing strategies.
Provide an overview of company areas of interest for investigator sponsored studies.
Contribute to internal educational activities and training.
Represent the company at Oncology conferences and scientific meetings.
Lead relevant projects within the field medical organization.
