Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Medical Science Liaison to integrate scientific expertise with medical strategies across oncology. You will build long-term relationships with regional clinicians and key opinion leaders, educate on development initiatives, and support cross-functional teams.

This role covers Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, and West Virginia with >50% travel; requires a related degree with advanced degrees preferred and 5+ years MSL experience in oncology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Advanced degree (NP, PA, MD, PharmD, PhD) strongly preferred.
• Candidates without an advanced degree must have at least 5 years of MSL experience.
• 5+ years of relevant scientific or clinical experience in Oncology.
• 3+ years of MSL experience in Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage national, regional, and local Oncology thought leaders and HCPs.
• Serve as the primary scientific contact and build long-term peer to peer scientific relationships.
• Educate priority HCPs on research and development initiatives.
• Gather medical insights to inform clinical and marketing strategies.
• Represent the company at Oncology conferences and scientific meetings.
• Lead relevant projects within the field medical organization.
