Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) is seeking a dynamic Medical Science Liaison to integrate scientific expertise with medical strategy and support the marketed and emerging portfolio. The role focuses on building relationships with oncology clinicians and thought leaders across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan.

Final title and compensation depend on qualifications; travel will be extensive (60-80%), and candidates with varying levels of experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage national, regional, and local Oncology thought leaders and HCPs.
• Serve as the primary scientific contact and build long-term peer to peer scientific relationships.
• Exchange scientific and technical information relevant to the company's development portfolio.
• Support relationships between key opinion leaders and internal product teams.
• Educate priority HCPs on research and development initiatives.
• Gather medical insights to inform clinical and marketing strategies.
• Provide an overview of company areas of interest for investigator sponsored studies
• Contribute to internal educational activities and training.
• Represent the company at Oncology conferences and scientific meetings.
• Lead relevant projects within the field medical organization.
