Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist in Oncology based in San Francisco, CA. The role is field-based and focused on driving demand for BMS medicines through high-quality scientific dialogue with healthcare providers, within a defined territory.

The ideal candidate has an advanced scientific degree and 5+ years in pharma/biotech sales or MSL roles, with proven credibility, excellent communication, and strong account-management skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech healthcare sales or MSL experience.
• Ability to communicate scientific data to physicians clearly and convincingly.
• Demonstrated credibility with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Oncology experience is preferred.
• Strong account management and sales performance history.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Engages HCPs with balanced clinical and scientific rationale for product use.
• Maintains and expands scientific expertise across assigned products and therapies.
• Prepares comprehensive territory and account plans.
• Uses CE^3 to gain insights and informs call plans; provides feedback to leadership.
