ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) will have a variety of responsibilities, including promoting Pfizer’s product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists, educating the healthcare community on the appropriate use of Pfizer products, and engaging with accounts and organized customers to enhance patient experience and care quality. The SOAS plays a critical role in increasing Pfizer’s brand presence among high-value target customers by assessing account and business landscapes and leveraging Pfizer’s resources effectively.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Valid US driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.
  • Minimum of 4 years of previous Pharmaceutical Sales experience or Oncology Healthcare Professional (HCP) experience working with key Oncology thought leaders or high influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care organizations.
  • A demonstrated track record of success in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare professional experience.
  • Exceptional aptitude for learning and communicating technical and scientific product and disease management information.
  • High degree of business acumen.
  • Proficiency with complex digital applications and adaptability to Pfizer’s technology models.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of Oncology sales experience.
  • Master’s Degree or Advanced Healthcare Professional Degree.
  • Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders.

Functional / Technical Skills

  • Promote a broad portfolio of products with strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Deep understanding of customer and market dynamics.
  • Generate demand and develop strategic account plans.
  • Maintain institutional relationships and overcome access obstacles.
  • Cultivate relationships with KOLs and top priority customers.
  • Assess and address customer needs with targeted approaches.
  • Exhibit superior selling, technical, and relationship-building skills.
  • Engage, influence, and support customers throughout the sales process.
  • Adapt quickly to changing environments and leverage resources effectively.

  • Salary range: $101,500 - $245,400 plus sales incentives.
