ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) will have responsibilities including promoting Pfizer’s product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists, educating healthcare professionals on the appropriate use of Pfizer products, and engaging with accounts and organized customers to enhance patient experiences and overall care quality. The SOAS plays a critical role in increasing Pfizer’s brand presence among high-value target customers by assessing account and business landscapes and leveraging Pfizer’s resources effectively.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Valid US driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.
  • Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or oncology healthcare professional experience working with key oncology thought leaders or high-influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care organizations.
  • A demonstrated track record of success in previous pharmaceutical sales or healthcare professional roles.
  • Exceptional aptitude for learning and communicating technical and scientific information to diverse customers.
  • High degree of business acumen.
  • Proficiency with complex digital applications and adaptability to Pfizer’s technology models.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of oncology sales experience.
  • Master’s Degree or advanced healthcare professional degree.
  • Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and KOLs.

Functional / Technical Skills

  • Ability to promote a broad product portfolio and possess deep knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Understanding of customer and market dynamics.
  • Skill in generating demand and strategic account management.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, overcome obstacles, and engage with healthcare providers effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and leverage resources in a matrix organization.

  • Salary range: $101,500 - $245,400, with additional incentives and benefits.
