Job summary

Arizona Public Service seeks a Generation Technical Specialist for aeroderivative turbines to provide on-site expert support to APS and contractor teams. You will ensure maintenance and repairs follow OEM specifications, industry best practices, and safety standards, while collaborating with engineering to assess inspections and performance trends.

Qualifications

15 years of experience as a Technical Field Advisor in the power generation industry.
Experience with aeroderivative turbines including GE LMS100, LM6000, LM5000 or LM2500.
Two-year associate's degree can substitute for two years of experience.
Four-year bachelor's degree can substitute for four years of experience.
Deep knowledge of OEM specifications, industry standards, and safety practices for turbine operations.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support for APS and contractor teams on aeroderivative turbines.
Ensure maintenance and repair work aligns with OEM specs, industry best practices, and safety standards.
Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate inspections and performance trends and advise on proactive maintenance.
Troubleshoot emergent turbine issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Act as liaison between plant personnel and turbine OEMs for clear technical communication and solutions.
Identify and implement best practices for turbine maintenance and asset reliability.
